Why Is the Text Wrong in Your AI Image? Fix the Right Problem
Updated
Diagnose misspelled AI headlines, altered product labels, and unreadable fine print. Try a focused DrawNew edit or separate typography from image generation.
TroubleshootingThe poster is ready except for one letter. You regenerate it, the spelling improves, and the product changes. How can a tiny correction create a bigger problem?
The request is still an image-generation task. Treating lettering as editable text would be convenient, but a generative image edit can also change nearby pixels. Decide whether you are making a decorative headline, preserving an existing label, or setting exact copy before you try again.
Which kind of text are you trying to fix?
| Your task | A useful starting point |
|---|---|
| One short decorative headline | Try a restrained generation or correction |
| An existing product logo or label | Compare with the source and prioritize preservation |
| A price, date, address, or several lines of fine print | Add editable text separately after generating the artwork |
| The words are correct but unreadable | Fix size, contrast, or layout rather than spelling |
Start with the full-resolution image. A tiny preview can disguise substituted characters and punctuation.
Give a short headline room to succeed
Use AI Poster Generator for a new poster concept. In the creator, choose a text-capable image model such as GPT Image 2. Reduce the first lettering task to one short line:
A simple illustrated summer poster with one headline reading exactly "SUMMER STUDIO". Put large plain lettering in the upper third on a quiet light background. Keep the lower illustration simple. No subtitle, dates, logo, badges, or additional words.
Review the estimate before generating and check every letter afterward. This is a prompt to try, not a claim of tested spelling accuracy. If the lettering remains unreliable, keep the visual and move the typography to a separate text layer.
Can you correct the existing image in DrawNew?
Open AI Image Editor, choose an editing-capable model, and upload the original accepted image. Request only the correction:
Edit the uploaded poster. Replace the headline with exactly "SUMMER STUDIO" in the existing headline area. Keep the product, background scene, colors, and composition. Do not add any words or change product-label text.
Inspect the whole result, including areas far from the headline. If the image changes in ways you cannot accept, return to the original rather than editing the failed output again. The unwanted-edit guide helps isolate those changes.
A product label is a preservation problem
A brand name on packaging is part of the item. If your task is to replace its background, do not also ask the model to improve or redesign the label. Use a readable source and a tightly scoped request.
If the exact wordmark or small print must remain unchanged, preserve the original product cutout in a compositing workflow. A prompt cannot guarantee identical lettering. See the product background walkthrough for the broader review process.
Build an updateable advertisement instead
For an image with a price, date, or offer, generate an uncluttered area where the copy will go. Then add the actual words in a layout editor with text layers. DrawNew's image-generation workflow should not be mistaken for that text-layer editor.
- Decide how much space your real copy needs before generating.
- Request the scene without lettering and with a plain area in the intended position.
- Add headline, price, and supporting copy separately.
- Review at the actual display size and export.
The banner brief demonstrates how to reserve that space. If your next campaign changes only the price, you can update the text instead of rebuilding the picture.
What counts as a finished repair?
Check spelling, capitalization, punctuation, line breaks, and contrast. Then check the final crop: correct copy that gets cut off is still unusable. For another language, have a reader of that language inspect the result rather than judging the shapes alone.
